OPS NORMAL

We’re finally home, and what a long few months it has been. But we were back in our home just in time for Christmas and we’re settling in looking forward to the New Year! We’ve decided TX is a good place for us right now and I am taking on the attitude of, “Bloom where you’re planted.” We have so much opportunity here….did I mention we’re 10 minutes from the airport?

On the travel front, I’ve been lucky enough to cut way back on hours while we put our house back together, and Lucy and I had the chance to fly to San Francisco for one of my best friend’s birthday. We stayed with another friend who has a baby boy three months younger than Lucy. What a perfect weekend! We flew in on a Friday morning, and I experienced the new “Family Line” at the airport. What a great idea! Most airports have started them and I think it is a great help to families, the TSA agents seemed more patient and no sighs of frustration from those traveling “childless” behind you. Lucy, my seasoned traveler, did fabulous. I did pretty well myself, I’ve got this “traveling with the kid thing down.” If you have any questions on traveling with your little one e-mail me, I’ve got loads of tips! Anyway, we went to my friend Lorna’s party Friday night….Deborah’s mom watched our babes….and Saturday we enjoyed a girls day of lunch and pedicures! Did I mention the three of us grew up together, in a small New England town? Sunday, we relaxed and hung out until Lucy and I had to catch our flight. Our flight was wide open and we enjoyed a whole row to ourselves! We landed back in TX around midnight and as we headed out of the airport to meet Daddy, I told Lucy what a “Great Job,” she had done traveling to which she responded in her very sleepy voice….”great job….great job….great job.”
