The next time you plan a trip consider renting a house instead of staying at a hotel. That’s what we do now that we are three, instead of two. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that you can actually rent a whole house for what it costs to stay at a hotel. When you consider the money you save by not eating every meal out, it’s an even bigger savings. Our last two trips to Massachusetts we rented a four bedroom house at 1/2 of what it would have cost at a hotel! We were even able to do our laundry and return home with clean clothes!
We are planning a trip to Spain or possibly Portugal in the fall. You wouldn’t believe the deals they have there! If you have a couple of families/friends you could plan a vacation with, then there’s even more savings.
