I just got back from Portland, Oregon and I have to tell you, I love the airport! Here is a picture of the recycling bins, there is a place for liquids, plastic, paper, cans and even food scraps!
I was psyched when I was able to start my day off with a shot of wheat grass from Jamba Juice. If you’ve never tried it, give it a shot, it actually gives you more energy than caffeine. Really! They have great food choices you can check them all out at the portofportland.com.
To top it off you can pick up some local wines from this kiosk! How great is that? If that’s not enough? They have FREE WiFi, and you know that makes me happy: )
Wow, it seems like a great place, and you cannot beat free WiFi!
It seems to me that the smaller airports do have free WiFi. My local, small airport (AVP) has it free and love it. I just get so frustrated at the larger airports that charge a highway robbery amount for an hour of connectivity.
I have never tried the wheat grass; I don’t have one close to me.. 🙁
I am a Portland native, and I LOVE the PDX airport. I was there the weekend of Portland’s first huge snowstorm this year. We got bumped from a flight to SLC, and had two hours to wait till the next flight. My daughter and I walked around and saw all the recycling stations. I’m not sure how I didn’t notice the free wifi…that would have been useful!
I love airports that sell wine–like DFW and SFO–and now Ican another one to the list!
Albert, I know…I hate when they charge for wifi! Here’s a tip, find the airlines “club” and sit outside of it, you’ll pick up on their free signal: ) And, when you get the chance, try the grass;-)
Nicole, I love that airport!!!! It’s amazing. What a beautiful area, you must miss it?
Blondie, I’m with you…love the wine: )
