Another great use for shower caps? Shoe covers. Keep your dirty shoe soles away from your clothes when you pack them together.

Yikes! Gross !!!
The only hope is that there has passed enough time when you get in your room for most of the viruses and other nasty stuff to have died. Still… will be using the shower cap !
I clicked “here”. Needless to say, I will ALWAYS be using the shower cap before I even come within 10 feet of that remote control. haha Thanks for that information… I would have never even thought about that otherwise.

Love it! And, thanks for recommending biodegradable shower caps. Would hate to be throwing plastic away for these purposes. They also sell cotton shoe bags or anyone could sew some old fabric together to make shoe covers so they don’t touch your clothes – then just wash when you get home. 🙂

Ok – for someone that lived in hotels while contracting – I didn’t even think of that! Dang! That is, as my 5 year old would say, not nice nice!
I am a huge germ-o-phob in hotels. I use the cleaning wipes we use for the cockpit (which are equally as disgusting) for the hotel remote, door knob,and phone (I use it for the backup wake up call). I never thought about using the shower cap. Neat idea!
