WEDNESDAY’S Q&A

By The Flying Pinto

This weeks question comes from, FlyersView…another friend over at Twitter: “What would you do if a passenger is snoring loudly?”

FP: Now here is a pet peeve! I have to listen to this at home…LOL…I can’t listen to this on the airplane too! And, God forbid you’re next to my husband who’s sitting in his middle seat…when I walk by I am not laying claim to him! Just do what I do and give him a good nudge…or two! As far as a passenger is concerned? Here is my rule of thumb, if it is as loud as my husband…we have a problem…and since I can’t please all the people all the time, I’m going to please the majority and wake that passenger up! If I’m not near by, I encourage you to do the same!

Here is what a few of my friends had to say:

TrayTableTravels:
I “bump” them, like it was turbulence… hahaha ‘oh sorry!’ or if other passenger complains then I get glass of water, gently wake them & say, “You were coughing, I thought you might need this”- Problem solved, kinda!

Shelby: I usually stand there and giggle with the other passengers…Then usually with my Index finger, POKE HIM Really Hard!……

Oh Wait, That is how I wake up Hubby when he is Snoring!

Calidreaminp: accidentally brush up against and wake him up and say “oh I am sorry”!!!! LOL

Heatherpoole: First I laugh, and then I look to see who it is, and then I usually laugh again – along w/the other passengers

Sodwee: Wake him up and pretend choppiness

And, one more comment from a passenger:

CityTravelBug: I wonder if my snores are why I get bumps from the aisle that wake me up -:)

FP: CTB, probably just bad “cart drivers!”

And, one last funny thing to share…head over to MyViewfrom30000feet…who knew?

  1. Maybe I should stop choosing aisle seats and go for window seats away from turbulence, cart drivers and poking fingers….. lol

  2. Turn the MP3 player up louder!

Dear Passengers & Flight Attendants, I'll apologize in advance if you ever have to sit next to my dear, dear LOUD husband!,,

Oh yeah, I do the poke when I'm stuck next to a snorer. If that doesn't stop it, I make a big hassle about getting up. It's mean but, oh the noise 🙂

I'm going to apologize in advance – I am a snorer – and I do all that I can to not snore on flights – but – sometimes it happens. My wife will always nudge me if I am and I'll try to adjust position. However, there are times when I'll be VERY tired after a Trans-Atlantic to Europe or Africa. Maybe the airlines will let me operate my CPAP machine on the flight! 🙂

I can recommend using ysnore nasal spray in 5ml or 10ml. It is small enough to bring it on flight!! It works immediately. save everyone and the snorer. http://www.ysnore.com.sg

    Hope it helps!!
