We have our winner, and I love his story! I am happy to see I stumped (almost) everyone. It’s hard to have a contest like this with google around. The first person to get the correct answer was my friend over at twitter, geekydewd. He found the answer through google reader and was kind enough to pass the prize on to the next person with the correct answer since he had already purchased a luggage handle from Rita…thanks, geekydewd!
So, who is our winner? One of my loyal readers Stan, I asked him if he had read the book and he said, no, but he recognized the quote because his girlfriend had used part of it on him and said, “take me around the world!” When he called her at work to ask her if she got the quote from a book, she verified and told him it was! It’s a great little book called, “I Was Amelia Earhart” by Jane Mendelsohn. I wanted to use something aviation related and I remembered this book, it is a creative story, fiction, about what happened to Amelia Earhart when she disappeared.
Congratulations, Stan!
