Whenever I see a plane in the air, I always wonder what great adventure the people inside are headed towards. I know there are many travelers that it is just a part of their work, or for you, it is your work. That is not nearly as glamerous, so I choose wonderful destinations for all of you.
I'm headed to San Juan for a cruise in two weeks and I am not a good flyer, but I am a good passenger. I keep my hysteria to myself.
I'm always a little freaked out when I see a plane "next to me" in the air. It always feels too close for comfort even though I know it's really far away. And, um, thanks for the tip on the ashtray 🙂 xo
I just had to laugh at the sock faux pas….I was once a F/A supervisor…and had to do silly "check rides"…and socks/hose were on the printed out check list I had to observe….you have taken me back to oh….1986, boy I AM old! smiles.
When I first saw the "short socks and shoe" pic, I thought it was a male pilot…why do people buy short socks anyway? A lot of men do this and it really does not look good. Sometimes they are cute, but only for small children. Really, there should be a law. Adults: NO short socks. Lazing around the house, maybe.
Ok from the comments I'm guessing the sock problem is they are too short. I'm clueless. I love to see other planes out the window. So often they are traveling in a direction that makes the combine speed very fast so they go by quickly.
You mentioned SFO – great landings there (your pic was at cruise right?) when the parallel runways are being used. It does seem like a race.
Haha that socks-picture is funny and I agree: definitely a big no no. Almost the same story as men wearing white sport socks with dark trousers and shoes (yeah that still happens!).
Great picture with the CO-plane (737-800 or 737-900; hard to figure that out!); that's the beauty of flying!
Was that really a flight attendant in those shoes? that WAS what your were pointing out correct? how come? They looked black and flat/healed enough to work in, no?
And on a flight from DFW to PHX it looked like we were racing a plane too! haha, i guess there were more than one runways to land at their!

Airplanes you can see when flying: Freak me out!
