SEATTLE ARTIST MICHAEL EBERHARDT

By The Flying Pinto

Another great travel tip is to scope out local Farmer’s Markets or Fair’s. You’ll have the opportunity to find local Artist’s which can be a real treat. I bought this print (the one you see here is copied from the Artist’s web page)at Pikes Market Place in Seattle and actually had the pleasure of meeting the Artist, Michael Eberhardt. I loved his work, and his prints are very reasonable. Once again I found a special souvenir of my trip…no t-shirts for me: ) I also saved you the trip, you can purchase Michael’s prints at his web site, www.wingspanwatercolors.com. He has beautiful prints of Seattle as well as flower’s, boats, people, nudes, and landscapes.

Watercolors, the word alone conjures up a feeling that is more than inviting. Winslow Homer was the first artist that showed me what could be done and Andrew Wyeth took it beyond.
I know a man in my hometown of Laguna Beach that takes watercolor and adds satire, humor and fantasy, I think you would enjoy his work. His name is Scott Moore.

Hey there Camera Pilot, I checked out Scott Moore, I like it: ) Very Americana. How about you, are you camera pilot because you are a photographer?

    Hi FP,
    Yep, I’m a photographer.
The bulk of what I do is Lighting for Motion Pictures though.
I have a badly neglected website jfmatherphotography.com and a file on a site called IMDb that has some of the stuff I’ve collaborated on which can be accessed by punching up my name- jesse mather.
    You have a fun site!

Sure beats t-shirts! 🙂 Although I have to admit, I did buy a t-shirt at the Great Wall that said “Been there, done that!”

I’ll pass this along to my sister. She just moved back to AZ. from Seattle. I’m already missing my Seattle visits. I guess I’ll just have to get some layovers there.

Jesse, Wow, thank you for taking an interest in my site. What a compliment coming from you! Your photos are beautiful, I’m partial to the people shots.you really capture their spirit. Although, I really like the “swings” shot at the carnival. You lead an interesting life “behind the scenes” I’m sure: )I have an interest in photography too, right now my subject is mainly Lucy. Thanks again, I really enjoyed looking at your photos.

Sherri, I would totally get that t-shirt! There are exceptions to the rules…I have one from Alaska that has a picture of Alaska with a picture of the state of Texas inside the picture of Alaska that say’s “Size does matter”….One of my faves: )

Your very generous Flying Pinto thank you!
There are several very famous photographers who photographed their children on a regular basis- Wynn Bullock, Sally Mann, Edward Weston to name a few. It’s a great subject.
    Kind regards.
