CAREERS IN AVIATION

By The Flying Pinto

Here we are fresh out of Barbie Boot Camp. Here is my advice for anyone seeking a career as a Flight Attendant…..take flying lessons and become a pilot, it’s less expensive than college, and the money is about four times better than a FA, and of course you don’t have to deal with “people”….oops, did I say that? I’m kidding, that’s the best part of my job! If you really do want to be a FA, they’ll ask you at the interview, “Why do you want to be a FA?” the password is….”I love people, and love to travel.”Every FA I know gave that answer.

There is an old joke about a FA trainee who go’s down to the bar one night, and meets up with her fellow trainees and a few pilots who are staying at the same hotel while they train on new aircraft. They get to talking and one of the pilots asks her, “How long is your training?” to which she replies, “Six weeks, how long is yours?” to which he replies, “Eight weeks.”
The FA trainee gets a surprised look on her face and with a little disappointment in her voice responds, “You mean two more weeks and I could have been a pilot?”
